M20.21

M20.21 ECU is designed to control stationary and vehicle 4, 6 and 8-cylinder gas engines with distributed or central fuel injection system and on-board voltage 12 or 24 V.

M20.21 ECU is designed for the maintenance in the following climatic conditions:

  • Ambient temperature from minus 40 to plus 100°C
  • Relative humidity up to 95% at ambient temperature of plus 40 °C
  • Low atmospheric pressure 61 kPa

Technical specifications

  • Nominal supply voltage: 12 V or24 V
  • Cutoff load current: 0.6 A max
  • Weight: 1.0 kg max
  • Size, mm: 184х204х45

Design and Function

М20.21 ECU has metal case and is equipped with a 121-pin connector for connection to sensors and actuators of control system through the control system wiring.

М20.21 ECU has the following features:

  • Based on high-performance 16-bit XC2785 processor
  • Advanced interface, two CAN I/O channels and one serial line
  • 23 analog channels for sensors, including 4 thermocouple channels
  • 8 injector control channels
  • 8 control channels for single-spark ignition coils
  • 8 control channels for relays and valves
  • Compatible with any automotive synchronization sensors
  • Designed with embedded control module for the drivemotor of throttle plate
  • Interaction with two oxygen sensors with individual heating channels

Software of ECU M20.21 allows to quickly adapt ECU to control any engine. There are software modifications for the usage of ECU in stand-alone power plants based on car engines, including gas- fueled.

ECU software is based on engine torque data.

M20.21 ECU has a built-in diagnostics and supports reserve control mode, enabling continue driving if a fault occurs. Fault warning is indicated at dashboard.

The ECU can be connected to ASKAN-10 diagnostic tester via ISO 9141 diagnostics line. Diagnostic tester is used in maintenance areas and enables enhanced diagnostics of control system.
